Kyrgyz Archbishop Highlights Martyred Leader’s Promotion of Respect for Religions, Divine Values
In an interview with IQNA, Sergei Zagrobelny, who was in Tehran to attend the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader, emphasized the high position of Martyr Khamenei in promoting the coexistence of religions.
Zagrobelny, who is also Kyrgyzstan’s representative in the Central Asian Human Rights Group, explained the attitude of the martyred Leader towards peaceful coexistence between religions and emphasizing religious commonalities, saying, “We have one God in Islam and Christianity, and everyone who has studied the holy books knows that in all of them the type of approach of humans towards each other is explained. In fact, people who believe in religion should have the same approach towards each other. It does not matter to us what a person believes, because those beliefs whose principles are stated in the holy books are clear.”
He said the martyred Leader always emphasized the necessity of prohibiting insulting the sanctities of religions. “We know that he had a view of respecting different religions and their representatives, and that is why representatives of different religions came to see him off in Tehran.”
In his assessment of the presence of international delegations at the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader, Zagrobolny considered Iran the cradle of civilization and spirituality, and said Iran is a country that has both a high spiritual heritage and a valuable mythical heritage such as Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh.

“In Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, we see that managers, leaders, and officials of a government must take steps towards divine goals. When this approach exists in the management of a country, the nation also stands behind the government. In fact, it was this approach that allowed Iran to have the position of the first civilizations of the world, and we can see the continuation of this approach in Iran to this day.”
In another part of the interview, the Christian figure from Kyrgyzstan highlighted the freedom of the Christian minority in Iran and the emphasis of the martyred Leader on protecting their rights.
Zagrobelny further referred to the confrontation between global powers and moral and religious values, noting, “There are some global powers that want to destroy countries, and to do this, they start from human values and the fundamental foundations of governments. That is why we see that global powers that are against human values, family, and religion have all gathered and are taking action against Iran and Russia.”
