Protesters in Sweden Capital Demand End to Gaza Genocide, Lifting Blockade

A large demonstration was held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, on Saturday to protest Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, the continued blockade, and restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid.

The protesters gathered at Odenplan Square following a call from several civil society organizations, carrying Palestinian flags and chanting demands for an end to the war, the lifting of the blockade, and the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

Dror Feiler, a Swedish activist of Jewish origin and head of the organization "European Jews for a Just Peace," said participants took part in the protest in support of Palestinian rights, stressing that "peace that is not based on justice is not real peace, but paves the way for another war."

Stockholm has witnessed recurring pro-Palestinian demonstrations since the outbreak of the war on Gaza in October 2023, with recent rallies calling for an end to Israeli attacks, the lifting of the blockade, and increased pressure on "Israel" to allow humanitarian aid into the Strip.
