Ibrahimi Mosque

The Ibrahimi Mosque is a historic and religious site in al-Khalil, Occupied West Bank. It is believed to house the tombs of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their wives, making it sacred to Muslims, Jews, and Christians. The mosque has been a site of political and religious tensions, particularly since the 1994 massacre by a Jewish extremist. Today, it is divided into separate Muslim and Jewish prayer areas. The Israeli occupation forces also regularly limit Muslims’ access to the mosque, especially during Jewish holidays.

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Palestinian presidency on Friday warned that recent aggression by Jewish settlers at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil (Hebron) could "transform the current conflict from a political to a religious one."
