Ibrahimi Mosque

The Ibrahimi Mosque is a historic and religious site in al-Khalil, Occupied West Bank. It is believed to house the tombs of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their wives, making it sacred to Muslims, Jews, and Christians. The mosque has been a site of political and religious tensions, particularly since the 1994 massacre by a Jewish extremist. Today, it is divided into separate Muslim and Jewish prayer areas. The Israeli occupation forces also regularly limit Muslims’ access to the mosque, especially during Jewish holidays.
