The 3rd International Congress of the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy CSID has opened in Tunis.

The 2-day event focuses on the achievements and challenges of the democratic transition in Tunisia.
Politicians believe that the democratic transition in Tunisia will be completed with parliamentary and presidential elections this year.
Observers believe the coexistence of secular and Islamic parties has been a challenge in the post-2011 revolution era. Nevertheless, Tunisians have no choice but reject internal division to avoid violence in the country.
Despite the challenging social, economic, political and security situation, analysts argue that Tunisia is on the right track in its transition towards democracy. However, Tunisia's next elections are crucial as they will determine the future of the North African Nation.
