Mehrdad Agahi told IQNA that 20 artists from 12 countries and 10 scholars from 7 countries will be attending the grand Quranic event.
Artists from Russia, Kuwait, Croatia, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Spain, India, Algeria and Turkey will showcase their work at the exhibition and there will be scholars from Pakistan, Malaysia, Russia, Uganda, Tanzania, Tunisia and Syria, he said.
Agahi added that the presence of foreign artists is aimed not only at introducing their work but also helping them to get ideas from Iranian artists and create new works of art when they return to their country.
He went on to say that the motto of the exhibition's international section has not been selected yet.
The 22nd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition will kick off on the 25th day of Sha'ban (June 23) at Tehran's Holy Defense Garden-Museum.
It will run for 20 days and come to an end on the 15th of the holy month of Ramadan (July 13).
According to Mr Agahi, the international section will start ten days after the inauguration of the exhibition.
