Grand Ayatollah Bahjat Commemorated

A ceremony was held in the northern city of Rasht on Saturday to commemorate the late source of emulation grand Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Bahjat.
Addressing the ceremony, seminary and university scholar Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Reza Panahian highlighted that the mystical and spiritual status of great figures like Ayatollah Bahjat is so far-reaching that one cannot easily talk about their character.
He pointed to the endeavors and contributions made by the late Ayatollah in the course of the Islamic Revolution, saying that after Imam Khomeini (RA), the second figure who made the most endeavors for the victory of the Islamic Revolution was Ayatollah Bahajt.
Hojat-ol-Islam Panahian also highlighted how important it was for the late Ayatollah to say his prayers on time, adding that Ayatollah Bahjat regarded on-time prayers as a means for understanding the greatness of God.
One of the most revered Shia figures in contemporary times, Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Bahjat passed away in May 2009.
