Parliament Speaker Lauds ACECR for Holding Int’l Quran Contest for Muslim Students

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani praised the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR) for organizing the Muslim world students’ international Holy Quran competition.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the competition’s 5th edition on Sunday night, he described the ACECR’s move to organize the event as valuable.
Larijani further underlined the need for paying attention to the teachings and concepts of the Holy Quran in life.
He said human beings will be saved from darkness in personal and social life if they can manage to live a Quranic life.
Elsewhere in his speech, Larijani highlighted the great potentials of the Muslim world and said Islamic countries need to use these assets and potentials and adopt the monotheistic style of life.
He also stressed the importance of Muslim unity and said the differences among Islamic sects are insignificant and minor but the enemies seek to use the minor differences to foment discord among Muslims.
The 5th International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim Students came to an end with the awarding ceremony on Sunday.
In this edition of the contest, representatives of Egypt and the Islamic Republic of Iran won the first title in the memorization and recitation categories, respectively.
Quran reciters and memorizers from 47 countries took part in this international Quranic event.
