TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 24th edition of Jordan’s international Quran competition concluded in a ceremony on Friday night.

Winners of the competition were awarded at the ceremony, organized by the Arab country’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry.

While Iranian representative Ali Assadi Seyfar failed to win the top ranks in the contest, he received an award as the youngest contestant.

The international Quranic event was held in the Jordanian capital city of Amman on June 25-29.

28 Quran memorizers from different Arab and Muslim countries took part in the competition, held at Abdullah bin al-Hussein Mosque in Amman.

Every year during the holy month of Ramadan, which will end on Wednesday this year, various Quran competition are held in Muslim countries at the local, national or international levels.

Jordan, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, Mauritania, Iraq, and Kuwait are among the countries organizing such contests in Ramadan.
