
According to Anadolu news agency, the Quran teaching centers of Dianat Organization of Turkey host many of the visually impaired students every year.
Benjamin Albairak, head of the organization’s Office for Religious Teachings, said that this year more students attended the Quranic classes held by the organization.
He added that children more willingly participate in learning the Quran reading with braille alphabet.
2300 visually impaired students of the centers, most of whom were children, succeeded to read the Quran in braille last year, he said.
He also noted that the organization plans to hold Quranic courses for other groups of the disabled such as those with hearing disabilities.
These people have a strong will and great potentials to learn and memorize the Quran, he said.
