800 Mosques in Dubai to Be Sterilized

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, the UAE, has launched a campaign to sterilize 800 mosques across the emirate, as a part of the department’s ongoing disinfection program until April 11.  

 

Executive Director of Mosques Affairs Sector Mohammed Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi said that the disinfection drive is part of the National Sterilization Program, which seeks to halt the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) contagion.

The campaign is being conducted in collaboration with three specialized companies.

The sterilization program has already covered 200 mosques, according to gulfbusiness.com.

Dubai has extended the sterilization program to 24 hours a day, effective April 4 onwards for a period of two weeks.
