Nasrallah Urges Benefiting from Muharram Rituals for Spiritual Growth
Delivering a speech Thursday night at the beginning of the lunar Hijri month of Muharram, Nasrallah also called on all of those attending the mourning rituals in Muharram to observe the health protocols.
Shia Muslims around the world mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the Sayyid-ul-Shuhada (master of martyrs), in Muharram, the first month in the lunar Hijri calendar.
The third Shia Imam (AS) and a small group of his followers and family members were martyred by the tyrant of his time - Yazid Bin Moaweya, in the battle of Karbala on the tenth day of Muharram (known as Ashura) in the year 680 AD.
Elsewhere in his speech, the Hezbollah chief highlighted the lessons of the Ashura uprising and mentioned a number of examples about the importance of studying the history of the enemies in order to know how to confront them, including the Israelis, the Americans, and the pro-US Arab regimes.
He referred to a US-brokered deal between the UAE and Israel for normalization of ties, and said the racist US regime is seeking to force the Palestinian nation to surrender.
Nasrallah highlighted the terrorist nature of the US, which was established after committing genocides against the aboriginals, confirming that relying on the US administration to regain rights from ‘Israel’ is fruitless because both have the same essence.
He went on to say that it is not surprising that some Arab regimes are rushing to normalize relations with the Zionist entity because their figures have accepted to be enslaved by the Americans for a long time.
