Hamas Vows to Continue Efforts to Free Palestinian Prisoners
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas stressed that it will do all it can to secure the release of Palestinians held in Israeli jails.
Hamas said in a statement on Monday that the issue of Palestinian prisoners is among the movement’s priorities, RT Arabic reported.
Saying that there will be a prisoner swap in the near future, the statement said the Zionists have no option than to accept the resistance movement’s demands.
It advised the Zionist regime to admit publically that a prisoner swap is the only way for the return of Israelis held in the Gaza Strip.
Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya said last week that the movement is ready to achieve a new prisoner exchange deal with Israel “if the occupation meets its demands”.
Also, the Al-Qassam Brigades said in a Twitter post that the prisoners of the occupation “will not see the light until our prisoners see freedom.”
