Egypt to Hold Quran Contest for Ramadan's Foreign Travels
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf is set to hold a contest to choose top qaris who will be sent to other countries for performing Quranic activities during the month of Ramadan.
The contest will be staged among qaris, imams, muezzins, employees of religious centers, members of the qaris’ union, and renowned qaris of national radio and TV, according to Youm7.
Applicants should enjoy some requirements such as documents on the place of residence, membership in union of qaris, the history of presence at national radio or TV, and a record of success in oral and written exams among others.
Initial stages of the competition will be held in regional departments of the ministry while the final will be staged at the headquarters of the ministry.
