Vehicle Carrying Young Quran Memorizers Crashes in Egypt, Kills at Least 4
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A vehicle which was carrying a group of young Quran memorizers has crashed in Egypt, killing and injuring a number of those on board.
According to reports, the bus was carrying 30 children and crashed in a road between Dakahlia and Damietta before falling into El Salam Canal on Wednesday evening, Almasryalyoum reported.
Search and rescue operation started right after the incident as parents of the children and local people also rushed to the scene.
According to latest reports, four children have announced dead during the crash.
Initial reports show that the minibus was returning the children from a recreational trip.
Meanwhile Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb offered his condolences over the incident, calling on Al-Azhar officials to support the families of victims.
