TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Lebanese academic hails the rich books and manuscripts that are kept at Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine Library, noting that these can help to further develop Shia and Islamic culture.

Bilateral interactions of Imam Reza holy shrine’s library with world Islamic centers has paved the way for more development of Shia and Islamic culture, says Hasan al-Gheis, president of Islamic University of Lebanon, in a visit to the central library of the complex.

Appreciating pure Islamic architecture of the central library, al-Gheis said, “Cultural advancements of the central library and its richness are results of Islamic Revolution of the Iranian nation.”

“Central library of the holy shrine is one of the biggest libraries in the Islamic world and it is an honor for all Muslim people.”

Referring to the limitations before Lebanese researchers when working on Shia history, al-Gheis said, “These people have to search their needed sources in American and Syrian universities which are mostly Christian.”

The Lebanese academic also pointed to the old manuscripts exiting in the central library as great sources for Shia researchers and expressed his desire for having access to these valuable sources.
