Scholars from 9 Countries Attending Int’l Islamic Unity Conference in Baghdad
Shia and Sunni scholars, figures and officials from 9 countries are taking part in the international event.
They include Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Shahriari from Iran, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky from Nigeria, Sheikh Ahmed Badreddin Hasoun from Syria, Sheikh Musa Ideen from Turkey, Sheikh Hussain Ma’tuq from Kuwait, Mawlawi Habibullah Hisam from Afghanistan, Mustafa Siric from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Sayyid Ali Fadhlallah from Lebanon.
The theme of this year’s conference is the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation and support for the oppressed nation of Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
