Al-Azhar Hosts First Conference on Quranic Interpretation, Miraculous Aspects

IQNA – Al-Azhar Mosque launched the First Conference on Quranic Interpretation and Miraculous Aspects on Sunday.

Held under the auspices of Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the conference is part of Al-Azhar's ongoing efforts to explore new horizons in understanding the Quran, according to Al Gomhuria.

The event aims to delve into the linguistic and scientific miraculous aspects of the Holy Book. It seeks to provide a platform for scholars, researchers, and students to engage in dialogue and exchange insights on the topic of Quranic miracles, according to the report. 

The inaugural session, titled “The Honeybee in the Quran: Linguistic and Scientific Miracles,” features lectures by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hodhod, former president of Al-Azhar University, and Dr. Mostafa Ibrahim, professor at Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Science.

Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, general supervisor of Al-Azhar's scientific activities, described the conference as a significant opportunity to reflect on the Quranic verses, analyze their meanings, and open new avenues for research into the Quran’s miraculous aspects.

He noted that the gathering promotes religious and cultural awareness among participants and encourages deeper contemplation of sacred texts.
