Libya Int’l Quran Contest: Iran’s Representatives Fail to Advance to Finals

IQNA – The representatives of Iran in the 13th edition of Libya’s international Holy Quran competition failed to make it to the final round.

Mojtaba Alirezalou and Mohammad Javad Delfani, representing Iran in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of the entire Quran along with mastery in the ten styles of recitation, respectively. 

They took part in the first stage of the contest a few weeks ago and the results were announced on Sunday.

According to the organizes, Alirezalou and Delfani are not among the contenders who have advanced to the finals.

The other category of the international event is memorization of the entire Quran along with Tafseer (interpretation), in which Iran had no representative.

Libya’s 13th international Quran contest has been organized in two stages, with the preliminary round having been held late last month virtually.

The finals will take place in the North African country in the lunar Hijri month of Muharram (June-July).
