Saudi Vice Minister of Hajj and Umrah Abdulfattah Mashat on Monday visited the accommodations of Iranian pilgrims in Mecca to assess their conditions and ensure the quality of services provided to them.
The visit was in implementation of the directives of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and based on the recommendation of the Saudi Crown Prince to facilitate all the needs of Iranian pilgrims and provide them with full services until their safe return home.
As part of the visit, Mashat toured the Iranian Hajj Affairs Office in Mecca and met with Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Ali Reza Bayat.
The meeting addressed arrangements and mechanisms to ensure the comfort and safety of Iranian pilgrims throughout their stay in the Kingdom.
Bayat expressed his deep gratitude for the care and attention Iranian pilgrims receive from the government of Saudi Arabia.

He also praised the efforts of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all relevant authorities to facilitate the pilgrims' journey and ensure their comfort and safety.
Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced on Friday that all return flights for Iranian pilgrims have been suspended until further notice due to the nationwide grounding of air traffic following a series of Israeli airstrikes across the country.
