IQNA – A ceremony celebrating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, with the participation of religious leaders, diplomats, and community representatives.

The Georgian capital, Tbilisi, hosted a ceremony marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event was organized by the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia and attended by clerics, social figures, and foreign diplomats.

The gathering opened with a recitation from the Quran by Haji Raheid Karimov. Speakers included Haji Faig Nabiev, head of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia; senior muftis from eastern and western Georgia; a representative of Georgia’s State Agency for Religious Issues; Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neishabouri, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s International Center for Quran and Propagation; and Mahmud Gul, religious attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi.

In his address, Hosseini Neishabouri highlighted key aspects of the Prophet’s mission, including fostering unity among diverse communities, strengthening ethical and spiritual ties, encouraging intellectual growth, promoting justice, and spreading compassion—even toward opponents.

Other speakers emphasized the Prophet’s moral character and the core principles of Islam. For international guests, a summary of the discussions was provided in English.

The ceremony was held as part of “Unity Week” and included religious songs in praise of the Prophet, performed by eulogist Saeed Hasan.

A floral structure made of 15,000 stems was also unveiled to mark the occasion.
