IQNA – A major Quran memorization competition was held in the capital of Thailand with the participation of 300 male and female contestants.

A major Quran memorization competition was held in the capital of Thailand with the participation of 300 male and female contestants (September 2025).

 

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance organized the Quranic event in Bangkok.

The closing ceremony was attended by several ambassadors and prominent Thai political and Islamic figures.

Awards and commemorative shields were presented to the winners at the ceremony.

Thailand is a country at the center of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia.

Muslims are the second largest religious group in Thailand making up about five percent of the country’s 70 million population.
