Gaza Ceasefire A Victory of Resistance, Defeat for Israel

IQNA – The ceasefire in Gaza is a triumph for the Palestinian resistance and a defeat for Tel Aviv as the Israeli regime has failed to achieve any significant victory other than killing innocents, destroying buildings, and creating chaos in the enclave.

Palestinians in Gaza show sign of victory.

This is according to Mahmoud al-Hashimi, director of the Alliance Center for Studies in Baghdad, in an article for IQNA, which is as follows:

According to the doctrines of war, the winner is the one who defeats the enemy army, not the one who targets civilians; and according to the same doctrine, armies that target civilians in war are defeated on the battlefield.

After 100 days of the (Israeli aggression on Gaza), I was on a trip to a friendly country when one of the officials from that country asked me, “When do you think the (war) will end?” That day I said, “This battle will end in the first 45 days, otherwise civilians and buildings will be involved.”

The resistance in Gaza had fought six battles with the Zionist army, each lasting days and none lasting more than two months; and in each battle, the resistance developed its weapons mechanisms and tunneling techniques under Gaza, transforming it into cities, workshops, and hideouts that stored the secrets of war and its possibilities.

After the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation on October 7, 2023, there was no choice for the Israeli entity but to continue the war, as it was called the “Battle of Existence” and caused some Zionist residents to return to their old beliefs that ‘the Jewish state will not last for eighty years’.

One of the main reasons for the continuation of the war was that Israel is an entity that was formed in a military dimension, not a civil one; and all of its leaders are essentially military, and if the army is defeated, it loses its existence and the reason for its formation.

Some may say that the reason for the continuation of the war is “(Israeli regime’s prime minister Benjamin) Netanyahu's right-wing government”, but this statement is not simply factual; it is an escape from the truth or a miscalculation, because Israel adheres to a single ideology (expansion and superiority).

It is true that (US President Donald) Trump and Netanyahu’s statements about Trump’s ceasefire plan seemed like surrender to resistance, but this was a scenario that had been prepared in White House circles to demonstrate American dominance over (Israel); to the point that American newspapers and news agencies reported that Trump had repeatedly rebuked Netanyahu for not supporting the ceasefire plan.

The United States seems to have found itself in a “dilemma” because it sees itself as the only country standing by Israel, whether in direct support and arms or in repeated opposition to ceasefire plans, and this is affecting its reputation.

The resistance in Gaza began and ended with the same principles: (ceasefire... prisoner exchange... reconstruction of Gaza).

We did not see a young child from Gaza come out with a white flag and demand surrender, as (Arab leaders) wished. How can we expect the fighters in Gaza to behave like this!

It was smart and shrewd that Hamas invited all Palestinian groups and the Palestinian Authority to participate in negotiations on the crucial issues of the Palestinian cause.

Hamas negotiated with its weapons in hand, and its people are loyal to it and its positions, and the entire world – including a significant portion of America’s own population – stood by it; this is a great asset that gives it bargaining power and building the future, and the promises of victory are resounding through the media across the globe in order for a new phase to begin.

It is clear to us that the Middle East is making its own map, and resistance will play a fundamental role in that.

Above all, this victory would not have been achieved if it were not for the immense sacrifice, the bravery of men, the help of women and children, and the stance of freedom-seekers around the world.

Gaza Ceasefire A Victory of Resistance, Defeat for Israel

The world will change a lot after the Gaza war, because the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation heated up events and put the world on the verge of a historical turning point; we must not lag behind these developments.

Whoever (pins hopes on) America will drown; and whoever bets on normalization with Israel should know that this entity is on the verge of collapse. As one Gazan said after the ceasefire was announced: “We will rebuild our city, and Gaza will become the most beautiful land in the world.”
