Iraq’s Al-Nour Int’l Quran Competition: Top Universities Awarded

IQNA – A ceremony was held to honor the top universities and the jury panel of the Al-Nour (light) international university Quran competition in Iraq.

The Al-Nour (light) international university Quran competition was held from October 12 to 16, 2025, at Al-Ameed University in Iraq.

 

The competition took place from October 12 to 16 at Al-Ameed University, Al-Kafeel reported.

The Scientific Monitoring and Evaluation Service of the Student Activities Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized the Quranic event with the support of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.

The awards ceremony included honoring eight of the top Iraqi universities and three of the top international universities in recognition of their impressive performance and contributions.

The members of the judging panel were also honored for their efforts in successfully organizing the competition and ensuring fairness in evaluating the competitors’ performance.

The awarding ceremony was held with the participation of the Holy Quran Scientific Assembly of the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine, the presidency of Al-Ameed University, representatives of the Ministry of Science, participating universities, and professors and students.
