Al-Azhar Honors Three Egyptian Sisters Who Have Memorized Quran

IQNA – The Al-Azhar Islamic Center in the Egyptian province of Aswan honored three sisters who learned the Quran by heart.

Husna, Alia and Rawda Salah Abu Zaid are three Egyptian sisters who have memorized the Quran.

 

During a ceremony, they were praised for their achievement and were described as a shining example for families, showing hard work, and love for the Book of God, Al-Watan reported.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Al-Azhar scholars and local families, who expressed their satisfaction with this spiritual accomplishment that was realized with the support of the sisters’ family.

Husna Salah Abu Zaid, one of the sisters and a 19-year-old student at the Faculty of Usul Al-Din, said at the ceremony, “Memorizing the Quran has been my dream since childhood, and my family encouraged me to do this step by step.”

She added, “This success was achieved with the grace of God, and with the support of my father and my teachers, who filled us with joy with patience and proper education.”

Alia Salah, her sister, who is 24 years old and has graduated from the Islamic Sharia Faculty, said, “I studied religious sciences, which made me understand the concepts of the Quran more deeply. I thank God for putting me on the same path as my sisters.”

She added, “I also thank my family for making our home the ‘House of the Quran’. I am also grateful to my childhood teachers and the teachers at Al-Azhar who are role models in science and ethics.”

Rawda Salah, the third sister, who is 22 years old, also stated that the Quran changed her life and gave her a peace that is unlike any other feeling.

“My family supported me every step of the way.”

She went on to say, “I urge everyone to understand the Quran and not abandon it. I ask God to make the Quran our intercessor on the Day of Judgment.”

The parents of these Egyptian sisters also stated at the ceremony that the secret to their daughters’ success was their daily commitment, constant review, and spreading love for the Quran at home, and that the Al-Azhar Center in Aswan provided a suitable educational environment for this.
