According to the website Muslimsaroundtheworld, the Gjakova branch of the society in the southwest of the country, held its meeting in preparation for Ramadan.

The meeting also coincided with the celebration of the World Hijab Day.

The participants included women who regularly attend religious classes held at the department’s center.

The Gjakova Women’s Monthly Meeting marks the transformation of this activity from a limited and periodic event to an active and institutional educational space that emphasizes the pivotal role of Muslim women in creating religious awareness in the Muslim community of Kosovo, especially as Ramadan approaches.

The session emphasized the importance of organized spiritual preparation for the month of fasting and its connection to issues of religious identity, such as the hijab, in a sustainable educational discourse led by the Islamic community, demonstrating the maturity and regularity of women’s religious experience, which goes beyond a purely ceremonial or seasonal approach.

The session began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, after which Ms. Violeta Smailaj welcomed the audience, commending their commitment and dedication to participating in religious lessons, and lauding their seriousness and enthusiasm for continuous learning.

The session also included a speech by Ms. Vajda Binjaku, Head of the Women’s Department, who spoke about the religious and educational dimensions of the hijab, the importance of strengthening faith, and the value of performing good deeds during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ms. Binjaku presented a set of educational and motivational guidelines focusing on the role of Muslim women in building families and communities, and the importance of adhering to religious values ​​as a fundamental element in creating spiritual and social stability, especially in the contemporary European context.
