IQNA – The collection of donations from Iraqis for the people of Iran and Lebanon continues thanks to the efforts of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine.

According to the Astan’s website, the public assistance campaign was launched with the call of Iraq’s top Shia cleric Ayatollah Ai al-Sistani, in a ceremony attended by Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the representative of Ayatollah Sistani.

It has been underway to help the people of Iran and Lebanon.

Sheikh Al-Karbalai called for the Astan to be the culmination of the humanitarian call of the religious authority.

He called on the servants of the Astan and all believers to help the people affected by the war in Iran and Lebanon in any way they can.

Al-Zahra University, which operates under the supervision of the Astan, also launched a separate humanitarian campaign in response to the call of the religious authority.

The university announced in a statement that it has organized this campaign in response to the call of the religious authority and in order to implement the values ​​of social and humanitarian support.
