Ayatollah Sistani Condoles Ayatollah Khamenei’s Martyrdom
In a message on Sunday, Ayatollah Sistani expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss and offered condolences to the Iranian people and Muslims all over the world.
Highlighting Ayatollah Khamenei’s lofty status and his role in leading the Islamic Republic of Iran for years, he said that through his martyrdom and the massive aggression against Iran, the enemies are undoubtedly seeking to deal a blow to “dear Iran”.
The great Iranian nation are expected to maintain unity and national solidarity in these difficult and sensitive conditions and not to allow the enemies to reach their sinister goals, he stated.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with a number of top military commanders, was martyred in a US-Israeli attack on his office in Tehran on Saturday morning.

The Foundation for Preservation of Works and Promotion of Values of Sacred Defense and Resistance announced the martyrdom of a number of Iranian top generals.
In a statement on Sunday, the foundation said that a number of brave and courageous commanders of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces joined their martyred comrades on Saturday.

were among those martyred in a meeting of the Defense Council.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was also martyred in the Saturday attack by the criminal US and the Israeli regime.
The foundation went on to say that the Iranian nation will steadfastly continue on the path of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei and foil all the plots hatched by the enemies.
