The event that reflects the place of religious education in the Muslim community of Bosnia and Herzegovina witnessed the participation of approximately 500 male and female students from the third level of Quranic education, and 79 teachers who supervised their education were also present.
In his speech at the program, Anis Safraka, Director of the Quran and Youth Department of council, cited the Prophet's (PBUH) Hadith that the Messenger of God was sent as a teacher and emphasized that the message of Islam is based on education and upbringing.
The role of a teacher is not limited to transmitting knowledge, but also building ethics and values and raising generations who are able to serve their communities are also among the duties of teachers, he stated.
Safraka said teachers have a great responsibility in institutionalizing wisdom and virtue and helping young people understand Islamic principles and apply them in their daily lives.
Mlodin Dizdarovic, Mufti of Zenica, also emphasized in his speech that Quran education schools are one of the most important centers for preserving the religious, moral and cultural identity of the Muslim community in the country.
Through these schools, he said, children acquire values that will remain with them throughout their lives and guide them towards responsibility and service to society.
The ceremony included the recognition of a number of outstanding students with the “Honor of Kutab” award, in which one student from each mosque or educational center was selected for their efforts, commitment, and excellence in academic achievement and good behavior.
The organizers said more than 6,000 students, along with 79 teachers, regularly participate in the programs of the Zenica Quranic schools, which indicates the important role of this educational system in the life of the Muslim community.

They also stated that the Quranic school is not just a classroom for teaching the Holy Quran, but a comprehensive educational institution that plays a major role in preparing generations of moral, responsible, and religiously aware individuals.
