TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hajj Pilgrims safely performed the last stoning ritual on Jamarat Bridge in Mina on Sunday before moving back to Mecca’s Grand Mosque to complete their Hajj with the last circumambulation of the Kaaba known as “Farewell Tawaf.”

Merely being a caretaker of the Baitullah (House of God- the Kaaba) and a Saqqa (dispenser of water to Hajj pilgrims) and developing Masjid al-Haram (the Grand Mosque in Mecca) are not enough or related to the true purpose (of the Hajj pilgrimage). Like the time of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and the early days of Islam, the Kaaba and the mosque being simple and a pure place for Muslims to congregate is thousands of times better than embellishing the Kaaba and building high-rising structures while forgetting the main objective (of the pilgrimage), which is awakening the people and realization of their interests. TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony to replace the Holy Kaaba’s covering, known as the Kiswa, with a new one began in Mecca on Sunday, ahead of Eid al-Adha.

TEHRAN (IQNA) - A piece of Kiswa (veil) covering Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, has been put on display at the Imam Hussein (AS) Museum in the holy city of Karbala.

A study is underway to use smart golf carts to help special needs people and the elderly perform the circumambulation of the Kaaba and Saee (running or walking seven times between the two hills of Safa and Marwa) with ease.

The newly sewn Kiswa, or cover of the holy Kaaba structure, will be unveiled in the coming days, as per tradition.
