First Quran Reciting Contest to Be Hold in Penza

The first competition of Quran reciters will be held in the Penza region in Russia during winter holidays.

Boys of 12 years old will compete in reciting Surahs (chapters of the Quran) from Surah 93 to 114.

"The event will allow young Muslims to spend their free time with benefit. The organizers of the event are scheduled to conduct interesting contests and theatrical plays. All participants will be presented with gifts and presents" Penza Inform news agency of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Penza region reports.

The competition will take place on January 7 at the Juma mosque of Penza city.
