Dissolving Clerics Islamic Council Destroy Opportunity for Peace
The organization issued a statement in its website, saying that the measures taken by the Al Khalifa regime point to the fact that the regime has no serious intention of finding a solution to the country’s crisis, Shafaqna website reported.
It condemned the regime’s repeated oppression of the Bahraini nation’s protests and called on the government of Bahrain to release those arrested for expressing their views.
Other Bahraini groups and organizations have also slammed the ruling by the Al Khalifa regime’s administrative court dissolving the country’s Clerics Islamic Council.
The Human Rights Center of Bahrain described the ruling as a move that signifies the regime’s sectarian war against Bahraini Shias.
Since mid-February 2011, thousands of pro-democracy protesters have held numerous demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling for the Al Khalifa royal family to relinquish power.
