“Status of Islam and Muslims in Eastern Europe” to Be Investigated

The status of Islam and Muslims in Eastern Europe will be investigated at a scientific forum to be held today, May 7, by the Research Center for Studies of Contemporary Islam in Tehran.

 According to the office of relations and international affairs of Al-Mustafa International University, the center which is affiliated to the university will host the forum.

Dr. Elsie Yazigi, researcher and lecturer of Toronto University in Canada will be the speaker of the program.
Taking into account the importance of Islam in the contemporary world and its influential role in intellectual, social, cultural and political evolutions, the center has conducted a series of research activities on the contemporary studies of Islam.
The researches aim to provide new methods to make the best use of the rich treasury of the religion in finding solutions for today’s challenges.
