The first Quran memorization and recitation institute for women is planned to be launched in the Rhône-Alpes region of France.

The Gardens of Knowledge Society of Lyon has established the institute named Institute Coranique Rhône-Alpes (ICRA), according to lesjardinsdusavoir website.
It planned setting up the Quranic center after conducting a poll in which the majority of the region's Muslim women said they would prefer to learn the Quran in an all-women institute.
The Gardens of Knowledge Society said the institute will be officially opened at the beginning of 2015 when the building purchased for the institute is ready.
It has called on French Muslims to make financial donations and gift copies of the Holy Quran to the institute.
France is home to the largest Muslim minority in Western Europe. Some 6 million Muslims are estimated to live in the country.
