Massive participation in the International Quds Day rallies will uplift the spirit of Gazans and strengthen their resolve to stand against the Zionist aggressions.

This is according to Rima Fakhri, a member of Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement's policy-making council who also told IQNA that Imam Khomeini (RA) declared the International Quds Day to encourage the Muslim Ummah to defend the oppressed Palestinian nation and the holy Quds, which symbolizes Muslim unity world over.
In August 1979, the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day, calling on Muslims across the world to mark the annual occasion by holding street rallies.
Fakhri reiterated the need for all Muslims to take part in the Quds Day rallies and demonstrate to the world that the Islamic Ummah is vigilant and supports the Palestinian cause.
She said the resistance of the Palestinian nation against the Zionist regime that considers its army one of the superior armies in the world has terrified Tel Aviv.
Fakhri added that it has been proved to world Muslims that confronting the Zionist regime and its expansionist policies is only possible through Muslim unity and supporting the Palestinian nation.
She further regretted the silence of some Arab and Muslim countries over the Zionist atrocities in Gaza, stressing that no one can consider themselves a Muslim while remaining indifferent to the plight of the people of Palestine, especially those in Gaza.
The Hezbollah member hoped that the oppressed Palestinian nation will achieve its objective of ridding Islam and Muslims of the occupying regime of Israel.
Since the deadly Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip started on July 8, huge numbers of people in the coastal enclave have fled their homes, with the UN saying over 100,000 people have sought shelter in 69 schools run by its Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA).
Meanwhile, the latest casualties bring the Palestinian death toll to nearly 600 from more than two weeks of Israeli attacks. Thousands of Palestinians have also been injured in the onslaught.
