Quranic Researchers to Hold Meeting in Morocco

The second congress of Quranic sciences scholars is set to start on Thursday, April 11, in Morocco.
According to the aujourdhui website, the Foundation for Scientific Research will organize the event under the theme of “In Service of Text and Word in Quranic Studies”.
It will discuss ways for developing new studies on the words and text of the Holy Quran in light of the advancement of new technologies.
Explaining the words of the Quran, investigating the structure and content of the Quran’s text, and discussing ways for using new technologies in Quranic studies will be among the topics of the congress.
The event, which is organized with the cooperation of Morocco’s Quranic Studies Center, will be underway in the city of Fes until Saturday, April 13.
The theme of the first edition of the congress, held in 2012, was the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). It was received very well by scholars and thinkers from Muslim world universities.
