‘Let’s Stay Home’ Motto of Online Quran Contest in Algeria
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Awaqf and religious affairs department in Algeria’s northwestern province of Ain Temouchent has organized on online Quran contest.
The motto of the competition is “Let’s stay home and protect ourselves and our family (so we can beat the coronavirus),” according to el-Messa news website.
It is aimed at promoting social harmony and solidarity during the coronavirus crisis.
The competition features recitation of the Holy Quran.
The coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have spread to Algeria in February.
It has infected nearly 2,000 Algerians and killed more than 300 in the country.
