World Leaders Congratulate Iran on Anniversary of Islamic Revolution

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Heads of state of various countries sent messages to congratulate the Islamic Republic of Iran on the 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.

They included the prime minister of Armenia and the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In his message to Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the Iranian leadership and people on the occasion and stressed promotion of ties between the two countries based on mutual trust and cordiality.

Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov in his message called for development of cooperation with Iran, which will lead to the enhancement of relations between the two friendly nations.

He said Bishkek will use all bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanism to boost the ties with Tehran.

Emomali Rahmon, the president of Tajikistan, was another leader who congratulated the president and people of Iran on the occasion.

He said Dushanbe is keen to expand its bilateral relations with Tehran in different fields.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in his congratulatory message referred to the strong bonds between Iran and Belarus and highlighted the great capacity for further boosting the ties.

Another message sent to President Raeisi was from Ilham Aliyev, his counterpart from the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Azeri leader said the two countries’ ties are based on the will of the two nations who have lived in a friendly atmosphere and have common moral values.

He also hailed the growing ties between Tehran and Baku and said reciprocal visits of Iranian and Azeri officials will lead to further enhancing the relations.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marks the beginning of the Ten Day Fajr (dawn), which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 43 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
