The competition, named after the Saudi king, will be sponsored by Saudi Arabia.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the competition, is implemented and supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, in cooperation with its counterpart in Mauritania.
Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh said the competition is scheduled during the first quarter of 1444 Hijri in Mauritania.
It aims to further enhance cooperation in all fields that can serve Islam and Muslims, he said.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania is a country in the Maghreb region of western North Africa.
The country’s population is estimated to be about 4 million and virtually all Mauritanians are Muslims.
Quranic activities and programs are very popular in the African country.
