Hajj pilgrims from different countries such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Pakistan, India, and Turkey attended the Quranic event.

It included Quran recitations and Tawasheeh performances by members of Iran’s Quranic convoy, known as the Noor (light) Convoy.

Addressing the program, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Khayyat, the office’s deputy, underlined the shining light that reading and reciting the Quran creates.

He said it has been recommended that Muslims recite the Quran not only in mosques and such Quranic programs but also at home.

The cleric also said that if one’s Hajj is accepted, its light remains with him for four months, unless it dims due to sins.

Abolfazl Khampichi, the director of the international relations department of the office, also spoke at the event, stressing that holding such programs helps to foil enemy propaganda aimed at fomenting discord among Muslims.
