TEHRAN (IQNA) – The government of Pakistan will monitor the authentic translation of the Holy Quran on social media.

Holy Quran

Pakistani Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor held a joint press conference in Islamabad on Thursday.

Sanaullah stated that the Ministry of Religious Affairs had compiled an authentic version of the Holy Quran, which would be approved by the Provincial Quran Board as some people were adapting the translation of the Holy Quran on social media to their preferences.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) would check the process in coordination with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, he added.

Sanaullah said the authentic translation of the Holy Quran would be delivered to every district and every tehsil.

Shakoor added, "This is our duty; we were attempting to fulfill it."

Talking about the Lahore court’s role, Shakoor said, "The LHC has done a great job in this regard. We are already active in protecting the Holy Quran as it is our religious duty."
