IQNA – Hamburg in Germany will host the 10th edition of the European Quran competition next month.

Europe’s 10th Quran Contest Scheduled for Next Month in Hamburg

 

Germany’s Dar-ol-Quran al-Kareem Center is organizing the Quranic event.

According to the website of the Islamic Center of Hamburg, it is slated for April 19-21, 2024.

Muslims from all schools of thought residing in Europe can take part in the contest in two age groups of below 16 and 16 and older in two separate sections for boys and girls.  

Quran recitation, memorization (at different levels) and Quranic concepts are the categories of the competition.

In the Quranic concepts category, the contenders will take an exam on interpretation of Surah Al-Qamar.

The three top winners in each category will receive cash prizes of 1,000 to 3,000 euros.

Representatives of each European country who score the highest points will be dispatched to international Quran competitions.

The deadline for signing up for the 10th European Quran competition is April 9.

The annual competition is aimed at promoting the Quranic culture and teachings, identifying and nurturing Quranic talents, and enhancing unity in the Quranic community of Europe.
