300 Moukebs Planned in Tehran on Hazrat Zahra Martyrdom Anniversary

IQNA – The Municipality of Tehran plans to set up 300 Moukebs on the days leading to the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

Moukebs are booths offering votive food, drinks and services to mourners. 

Mostafa Zibaeinejad, director general of the municipality’s culture department, said the department attaches importance to cultural programs aimed at promoting the Seerah and life of the great Lady of Islam.

That is why the municipality is organizing various cultural programs in the coming days whose main theme is introducing the Fatemi (related to Hazrat Zahra) school and lifestyle and promoting the culture of Hijab, he stated.

On the day of Hazrat Zahra’s (AS) martyrdom, which will be marked on Thursday, December 5, large gatherings of mourners will be held in different parts of Tehran, he said.

Elegy recitation, poetry recitation, and performing religious songs, will be among the programs in these gatherings, according to the official.

There will also be 300 Moukebs set up in different parts of the city to serve the mourners, Zibaeinejad added.

Shia Muslims and others in different parts of the world hold ceremonies every year on the first days of the month of Jumada al-Thani in the lunar Hijri calendar to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
