The event, organized by Saudi Arabia’s General Administration for Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces, features displays from participating organizations aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the Quran and promoting its recitation and memorization, Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
The Quran competition itself has drawn 179 participants from 32 countries, making it the largest edition in terms of international representation.

Maj. Gen. Dr. Misfer Al-Issa, director-general of the General Administration of Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces and supervisor-general of the competition, emphasized the high level of skill demonstrated by competitors in memorization, mastery, and recitation during the judging sessions.
The competition, which includes categories for full Quran memorization with tajweed, partial memorization, and recitation, aims to strengthen Quranic engagement among military personnel.
The competition opened on Sunday and runs for 14 days.
Participants will stay in Mecca and Medina, where they will visit historical and religious sites.
