IQNA – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says enhanced unity among Muslim nations will make the nations stronger in the face of enemies.

With Islamic Unity No ‘Enemy Can Overpower Us’: Iran President

He made the remarks on Sunday while addressing the Tehran Dialogue Forum while addressing attendees from various nations and institutions.

Pezeshkian likened the planet to a shared home for all of humanity. “The Earth is like our home, and everyone has the right to live in it,” he said. “If we all recognize that this planet belongs to all of us, then the rights of everyone will be respected.”

Quoting a verse from the Quran—“O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you nations and tribes that you may identify yourselves with one another. Indeed the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most Godwary among you. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-aware (49:13)."—the president called for solidarity beyond divisions of race, nationality, or belief.

He criticized the use of force and injustice in global conflicts, referring specifically to the Israeli war on Gaza, where more than 53,000 people, mostly women and children have been killed by Israeli attacks since October 2023. “What Israel is doing is a clear violation of the rights of others. The regime displaces people from their homes and conducts massacres every day, then it talks about humanity,” Pezeshkian said.

Pezeshkian added, “We must accept that we are living in one shared home — a home that belongs to all of us, not to a select group, faction, ethnicity, or race. A day must come when justice prevails in this shared home.”

“All major religions await the arrival of a savior who will establish justice on Earth. This belief exists in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and many other faiths. Even those without religious beliefs hope to see justice realized,” he said.

The president stated, “What we are witnessing today are egotism, mischief, and acts of genocide that will not last. The human conscience stands against oppression, aggression, and tyranny. No person is willing to live under coercion and injustice. The scenes of oppression we see today stir feelings of anger and revulsion in every free human being.”

He called on powerful nations to abandon aggression, emphasizing that conflict arises when rights are ignored. “Even animals, plants, and trees have rights,” he added. “Without respecting all forms of life, the planet's survival is at risk.”

Pezeshkian urged Islamic countries to unite in defense of justice. “If the Islamic world stands together, it can resist oppression,” he said. “The message of Islam after the conquest of Mecca was one of brotherhood and unity. The Prophet (PBUH) said that Muslims are brothers and must act as one.”

“We are at fault for not resolving our differences. If we stand together and protect each other’s rights, no enemy can easily overpower us,” he said, highlighting the need to boost Islamic unity.

The Tehran Dialogue Forum brings together policymakers, scholars, and diplomats to discuss regional and global challenges through multilateral dialogue.
