This morning, the capital united in honor and allegiance as people from all walks of life—youth and elders alike—marched from Enqelab Square to Azadi Square, carrying the coffins of 60 Iranians killed in a 12-day Israeli aggression.

The air was heavy with grief—echoed in collective prayers, passionate slogans, and heartfelt tears.

The ceremony began at 8 AM with the recitation of Verse 38 from Surah Hajj: “Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed…”. The departed included not only senior military commanders and nuclear scientists but also four children, four women, and several media workers—each honored as a hero in the struggle to safeguard national dignity.

Tehraners, inspired by the spirit of Imam Hussein (AS) and carrying red flags bearing the phrase “Labbayk Ya Hussein”, held handwritten banners with anti-Israel and anti-US slogans. Shouts of “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” resonated amid the crowd.
