IQNA – Ehsan Zakeri, a former reporter for the International Quran News Agency (IQNA), was martyred in an Israeli attack on Tehran on June 23, 2025.

Ehsan Zakeri, a devoted Quran memorizer, reciter, and media professional, joined the ranks of the martyrs of the Resistance following an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian capital.

A graduate in law up to the master’s level, Zakeri had completed his advanced Quran memorization and recitation training under the guidance of renowned teacher Taymour Parhizkar. Alongside his academic pursuits, he worked with several media outlets including Defa Press and IQNA.

Between 2018 and 2021, he served as a dedicated and passionate member of the IQNA editorial team, playing a key role in producing and disseminating Quranic content.

He later joined the Quranic division of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), where he continued promoting Quranic teachings and Islamic values.

Ehsan Zakeri was martyred on Monday, June 23, 2025, during an Israeli strike on Tehran.

His funeral procession is set for Friday morning.

Zakeri was one of hundreds of people killed in the Israeli aggression against Iran, which began on June 13. The regime assassinated top military commanders and nuclear scientists as its unprovoked strikes killed more than 700 Iranians, including women and children.

In response, Iranian armed forces staged 22 waves of missile and drone attacks, targeting the regime’s military infrastructure, forcing it to stop atrocities against Tehran.
