IQNA – The Zionist regime’s recent attack on Qatar has proven the correctness of Iran’s policies over the past 45 years regarding the necessity of showing no compromise when it comes to the Tel Aviv regime, an expert on West Asian affairs said.

Jaafar Qanadbashi, an expert on West Asian affairs.

“Now, alignment with the Islamic Republic of Iran is a general tendency in Arab countries, and this is a very good opportunity for us,” Jaafar Qanadbashi, said in an interview with IQNA.

The Israeli regime launched an airstrike on Doha earlier this week with the aim of assassinating the political delegation of the Hamas resistance movement.

“Perhaps its most important message, which has received little media coverage, is the Zionists’ extreme concern about the formation of a Palestinian state.”

Referring to the Zionists’ goal of eliminating or weakening Palestinian political leaders, he said they are trying to create a vacuum by eliminating officials and figures who could be at the head of the Palestinian government, so that in fact the figure and individual who is worthy of leading it will not exist.

Qanadbashi added that this concern arises because current events at the UN and global levels show that the situation is progressing in favor of recognizing the Palestinian state.

The expert noted that in the United Nations, governments have recently announced the recognition of the Palestinian state, and this is something that is completely contrary to the Zionist regime’s desire to eliminate the Palestinians and prevent their state from being formed.

He described this process as “the determination of the nations and governments of the world” and said, “At the popular level, we are also witnessing the movement of the Soumoud ship, which is moving as a symbol of the support of the people of the world for Hamas and the Palestinian people to break the siege of Gaza. The movement of the global Soumoud Convoy consists of dozens of ships representing the entire people of the world, carrying humanitarian aid.”

Referring to the history of the Zionists targeting Hamas leaders, Qanadbashi stated that the Zionists are trying to weaken Hamas’ political line by eliminating personalities.

The Zionists carried out the attack on Qatar with the aim of eliminating the last Hamas figures. “They had martyred Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Muhammad Deif, so their policy is to create a vacuum in terms of personalities in Hamas, while they are in the wrong.”

He reviewed the history of strikes against Hamas leadership and said Hamas has witnessed the martyrdom of its leaders over the past 20 years and has immediately replaced them. “From the beginning, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin was martyred, less than a month later, the next Hamas leader, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, was martyred. So many commanders were martyred but their replacements were immediately chosen.”

In response to the question of how much the recent Israeli airstrike on Doha is in line with the so-called “Greater Israel” plan, he stated that some analysts consider this attack to be within the framework of implementing the Greater Israel plan, while this perception is wrong. The first problem with this perception is that some people imagine that the Zionists are very powerful, and the second point is that Qatar is not part of the Greater Israel plan.”

The map that the Zionists have been proposing for 70 years includes parts from the Nile to the Euphrates, parts of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq, he noted.

“The Zionist regime is not in a position to show itself as powerful, although some analysts affiliated with the Zionists pretend in the public that Israel is powerful and that it will take over West Asia and so on. And yet, this is never the case, and exaggerating it in the current circumstances is not correct.”

Qanadbashi emphasized that Israel is an aggressor regime, but the reality is that it is not capable of realizing such a plan.

“In the past two weeks, the Zionists have attacked more than 7 or 8 Arab countries; they attacked Tunisia because of the presence of ships carrying humanitarian aid, they have attacked Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and even Palestine itself. All of these attacks are out of the Zionist regime’s fear and concern, because it fears the formation of a Palestinian state and the ability of the nations of the region to end the occupation.

He pointed out the need for coordinated practical action by Islamic countries against the actions of the Zionist regime, in light of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s remarks in a recent meeting with the President and the Cabinet about the need for Muslim states to sever trade and political relations with the Israeli regime.

“Gradually, many Arab countries have come to the conclusion that the path of compromise, the Abraham Accords, and the normalization of relations with Israel was a big mistake, because Israel has not respected any of these states and has repeatedly violated their territory without coordination. The fact that it attacks them without coordinating with the Arab states is a kind of insult to these countries.”
