Speaking in a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Esmaeil Baghaei described the prevailing atmosphere in the West Asia region as “very hasty and unstable” and said, “We continue to witness rapid developments at the regional and international levels. The most important issue is the growing threat posed by the crimes of the Zionist regime; whether in occupied Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and other countries in the region.”
Baghaei criticized the continued aggression of the Zionist regime and said, “The crimes of this regime in occupied Palestine continue with intensity. Aggression, war-mongering and gross violations of international law have not stopped in Lebanon and Syria either. These actions also seriously threaten the security of the region.”
Referring to the fragile state of the ceasefire on the two main fronts of the conflict, he added, “Although a ceasefire has apparently been declared in Lebanon and occupied Palestine, the number of violations is increasing at an unprecedented rate. In Lebanon, the ceasefire has been violated hundreds of thousands of times and, unfortunately, a large number of Lebanese citizens have been assassinated by the Zionist regime.”
Regarding the situation in Gaza, the spokesman said the number of ceasefire violations by the Israeli regime in the Palestinian enclave has reached about 600.
Each of these violations has also been accompanied by the killing of innocent people, most of whom are women and children, he deplored.

He continued by criticizing the inability of international institutions to curb the aggressions of the Zionist regime, stating, “This situation continues to shame the international community and humanity. Unfortunately, the responsible organizations and governments have failed to take effective and deterrent action against the continued killing of civilians and the blatant process of genocide in occupied Palestine. Ignoring these crimes by Western powers is not only a clear violation of humanitarian principles, but also exacerbates the crisis and widens the scope of instability in the region.”
