According to Quds-based sources, 60,000 worshippers attended the Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the holy city of al-Quds, coinciding with the closure of several streets in the city.
The area surrounding Al-Aqsa witnessed a heavy deployment of Israeli forces, who blocked several streets and main roads leading to the Friday market route, hindering the arrival of worshippers to the mosque.
The Israeli regime’s forces also stopped several young men near Bab al-Sahira and prevented them from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In addition, the forces set up permanent and temporary checkpoints around Bab al-Asbat and placed obstacles in front of worshippers, further restricting movement inside the Old City.
